In fact, the movie was even granted the highest honor a cinematic production can receive when it was voted the best movie of the year by the academy of motion pictures, becoming the first and only horror movie to receive this coveted award. …

…suspense that seems nearly impossible to top. Despite the impeccable recreation of the novel through the movie, the similarities and differences are so deeply woven that it makes it nearly impossible to choose one ov! er the other. Reading Silence of the Lambs was just as suspenseful as watching it.
