…is one thing that the IMF has done however, it is increasing the benefits to the countries' business elite, especially those in the financial sector. The strengthening of the elite has helped them to secure their roles as business partners with, once again, U.S. based firms. So what it really comes down to in the end is, who exactly does the IMF benefit? The U.S and other strong economic countries, or low-income countries?
