Through most of the Viking Age, the Scandinavians were Pagans, and like other religions, much of their daily activity revolved around their beliefs. They believed in many different gods and goddesses and had high admiration for them. Each one of their gods represented a different function that went hand and hand with their everyday living. …put it in the ranks with their own Pagan gods. They had learned to live with more than one gad and so it seemed logical make recognition such as that one. The Christians tried to preach their religion to the Vikings by making comparisons between Norse religion and Christianity. One of the connections that they made between the two religions is the idea of Christ as a brave warrior leading an army of dedicated men.
