A more fitting summarization of the Cold War might be; a forty-year-old ideological difference and political distrust led to the exponential escalation of many world affairs. How would you classify this? Certainly cold would not serve justice. A more accurate name would have been the Ideological War, referring to its roots of conflict buried in differences in government ideas.
