The good city is Plato's view of the perfect state and its relation to the human soul and its four virtues. The human soul is a larger version of Plato's community (Lee ). Therefore, each of the virtues as Plato relates them to the city, apply on a larger scale to the human soul. opinion, it can in fact create an ideal society. However, it would only be ideal if people were designated their roles according to their nature and not to their birth. To deny someone his true nature would only result in chaos. When people are whole heartedly carrying out their roles, the only possible result is the betterment of society.
