…African ancestry whose forefathers arrived in this country as slaves continue to experience social hindrances, and we're as far from finding effective remedies as we've ever been. We are preoccupied with programs like affirmative action, when we should be harnessing the combined resources for the betterment of the society. In my opinion, race, as a concept, belongs in the sociological dustbin. We need to focus on our similarities, and be less concerned about our differences.
