Mr. McKiernan has on occasion reminded us, "The constitution has adapted to changing circumstances over the years because of certain provisions built into it". This is true and necessary. As need arises, the constitution has had to mold itself to the ever altering society we embrace. …its fallibility. An amendment was made to the constitution because of this case stating that segregation is illegal. Once again the Constitution molded itself to fit the needs of the time. The amendment process, judicial review, and the elastic clause help establish a flexible and balanced government for our country. As seen in the above examples these are necessary to keep justice sustained. These principals and many others allow for a stable but changeable government.
