The Role of the Pope and the Vatican in the Holocaust

During the horrific times of the Holocaust, the Catholic Church, and its most prominent leader, the Pope, remained quiet. Pope Pius XII chose not to speak out against what was happening all over the world, and even in the Holy City of Rome. …for what was going on during World War II and the Holocaust. He could have saved many lives just by condemning the actions of Hitler. By using its influence, the Catholic Church could have perhaps brought the Holocaust to a sooner end. I hope that if anything as huge as the Holocaust ever happens again, that the Catholic Church and the presiding Pope will take a stand and make its opinion known throughout the world.
