Abstract:
Cricket behavior is an interesting thing to observe and can be influenced by many factors. We attempted to create the crickets' natural habitat by introducing an egg carton into the otherwise empty tub. the first and second trials we had introduced some salt and sugar into the container. Although we washed these out before replacing the carton, remnants still could have influenced the behavior of the crickets during the second trial.
The results of this experiment show that the natural habit of crickets can successfully be reproduced in a laboratory setting. Should the need ever arise to breed crickets, our experiment shows that it is a realistic possibility.
