…of the Parthenon's Doric friezes. THE NASHVILLE PARTHENON The city of Nashville, Tennessee constructed this full scale replica of the ancient Athenian Parthenon which stands in Centennial Park. The building contains copies of the Parthenon freizes and the statue of Athena. It also houses an art exhibit with traveling displays. Nashville is the sister city of Athena, Greece and as such was given one of the Elgin Marbles which is on display in the building.
