Talking about investigating the resistance of a wire
Date Submitted: 09/15/2004 21:30:10
Aim:
The aim of this is to investigate how the length of a wire affects the resistance of it.
Theory
Resistance is a force, which opposes the flow of an electric current around a circuit so that energy is required to push the charged particles around the circuit. The circuit itself can resist the flow of particles if the wires are either very thin or very long. E.g. the filament across an electric bulb

use a rheostat or use a variable resistor.
But overall my experiment succeeded the way it was expected to.
Evaluation:
The experiment proved to be a success and I proved my point that the higher the resistance the longer the pieces of wire would be. Different thickness of wire would be a good experiment to try out next because in this experiment the wire was quite thin. I think thicker wire would change my results.
