Ontario's New Role in the CAnadian Federation

What are the implications to the Canadian federation as Ontario's relationship with it continues to change? It is difficult to argue that Ontario remains the same, and has the same political goals and aspirations as it has historically. And in light of a newer and more ambitious province, some may even belief radical changes such as greater decentralization, provincial coordination, and a larger, more important role for Ontario is soon to come. …and the federal government will never fully refrain from trying to accommodate regional interests into the policies they implement. It seems that all that will come from Ontario's newborn wealth is just that, newborn wealth which does not automatically follow that Ontario will become the political leviathan that Ibbitson assumes. Radical changes may be within the future to come, but if so, it will not be because of Ontario's current relationship with the Canadian federation.
