Measurement of the structure and composition of the Earth's atmosphere

The Earth is surrounded by a blanket of air, which we call the atmosphere. It reaches up to a 1000 kilometres from the surface of the Earth, so we are only able to see what occurs fairly close to the ground. Life on Earth is supported by the atmosphere, solar energy, and our planet's magnetic fields. …enough water, or ice, rain or snow begins to fall. This is why low pressure is associated with bad weather. In conclusion as you can see in my short essay our planet's atmosphere protects and stimulates life. Without the atmosphere that protects us from the elements of space, harmful radiation or meteorites, life on Earth could not exist. The atmosphere is almost solely responsible for maintaining the balance of the environment in which we live.
