I am a member of the Young Diplomats club and we read a book on Japanese internment called Farewell to Manzanar. My purpose for writing this letter is because I am very sorry about what happened to you during World War II. What happened to you back then was wrong. the World War, internment might have been important for American security. But after the true facts are shown it is easy to believe that internment was not the right thing to do. It was proven that the Japanese-Americans were on our side and that they were fighting for the American cause just like any other American. Not only this but that it only hurt America's economy by all the Japanese businesses' that were closed down.
