Greece; The Pros and Cons of Democracy Therein

Introduction Greece; where many of the most important scientific and philosophical questions are thought to have first arisen, is also considered by most to be the birthplace of demokratia; or as we regard it, democracy. A system for and by the people, democracy has since transcended its early Athenian practice to become the most predominant political system in the world today. Thus wouldn't it be fitting to think that by now, Greece of all places …

…aspects that need further addressing. Violations of human rights are not a minor issue, but the issue that Greece really has to contend with is the fact that so many other seemingly less important policies and issues take precedence over them. In the future, it will be interesting to see what the newly elected ND administration attempts to do to levy problems regarding church influence as well as many other policy glitches within the country.
