Gender roles in Cosmopolitan

In the magazine, Cosmopolitan there are often stereotypical views of both women and men and I intend to focus on this. Gender roles prescribe norms, which instruct people to pursue specific careers and lifestyles. Certain roles, behaviours and attitudes constructed by society assign and control how men and women behave and are perceived. …Even so, I still remain vulnerable due to the dominant power of males that still exists within society today. I believe that this is something that every woman deals with, the important part about it is that one must be aware of it and have the good sense to ignore the pressure of gender roles and live your life like you want to live it rather than having people tell you how to live it.
