Inequality can be measured in a number of different ways, some of which are accurate in today's world however others are more outdated and not very accurate due to the euro centric view of development and inequality. to draw sound conclusion about any country. It is much more useful and accurate to use a collection of measures such as the HDI to gain an overall picture. There may be some use for single measures to identify inequalities within certain countries if education data and other facts are not readily available.
