PHYSICS LAB REPORT
Experiment1: Motion Analysis
Aim: To analyse motion of different types of balls rolling over inclined planks.
Hypothesis: If a ball is let go freely on the steep end of the plank, the force of gravity will act on it and because it cannot fall freely to the ground it will roll over the inclined plank and it will accelerate as it moves towards the low end of the plank and therefore its

slope (This is due to the force of friction of the plank acting on the ball, thus forcing it to stop and finally roll back the other way).
Conclusion: The results obtained synchronise completely with the hypothesis as the velocity of the ball increases initially as it rolls down the slope and decreases after reaching the base (The ball accelerates steadily when released from the top of the slope and decelerates on reaching the base).
