DBQ- Causes of the French Revolution.

The French revolution was the result of many problems concerning the unfair treatment of the middle class and peasants (the 3rd Estate). The 3rd Estate made up 97% of the total population of France, and yet they only counted as one third of the total votes. The lower class greatly outnumbered the high class and the land distribution was almost the same between them. These are some major reasons why the French peasants revolted. The outcome of this revolution reshaped the French government for many years to come.
