Cabaret The Cabaret is a musical that takes place in the Kit Kat Club in Berlin in 1931 during Hitlers rise to power. The 2 main characters-Sally Bowles & Brian Roberts- were both Americans who traveled to Berlin with seperate dreams. Sally has high hopes and desires to move up the entertainment ladder. She lives each day hoping to break into the movies and each night performing at the Kit Kat Club. Brian is hunting for German students …

…Maximillian , who becomes a friend, confidant, and lover to both Sally & Brian. Throughout the movie, Brian becomes jealous of Sally because she is spending more time with Max than he is. Sally becomes pregnant, but is unsure of who the father is because she was with both men. She eventually has an abortion because Max returns to his wife and she realizes Brian does not love her the way she loves him.
