GALILEO GALILEI 1564-1642 Galileo Galilei was a famous, incredible, and a very smart scientist, he was born on February 15, 1564 in Pisa, Italy. The day Galileo was born was also the day of Michelangelo's death. Galileo is famous because he was the first person to use a refracting telescope in astronomy, at eh university of Pisa. In Arcetri on January 8 1682 he died. His age was Seventy-eight. Everyone still admires Galileo, and I think he really deserved it. Galileo Galilei was a hard working scientist, with many wonderful ideas, that turned into great inventions.
