…It is located in the inland of the country. Belize gained its independence on September 21, 1981 from Britian. Guatemala objected strongly to Britian granting independence to Belize. After researching the history and background of Belize, I would like to visit this country one day to compare how closely the books, encyclopedias and other resources compare to what the country is actually like. I believe this would be a very good education and wonderful experience for me. .
