…World War One, many of them were pure fiction. They were stories that took the truth and exaggerated to the point where it became an atrocity. The use of this propaganda during the war sparked a new hate for the enemy, and helped support the war effort. Even so, atrocities occurred during the war, and it was because of these atrocities that the Geneva Convention was formed in order to prevent future atrocities during warfare.
