…piece and removed any human qualities associated with it. In the early seventies, he found a renewed interest in painting and completed 50 to 100 commissioned portraits a year. Some of his subjects were Sylvester Stallone, Mick Jagger, and the Shah of Iran. Several years latter, he began to dabble in oxidation painting and using diamond dust. He continued developing his style and reaching out to new horizons until his untimely death in 1987 after gall bladder surgery.
