…King Lear dies knowing that if he had gone with his true love his life would have been much easier, and his kingdom would not have gone through these hardships. He does not die without showing his sympathy for Cordelia, and the last words to barely escape his mouth are of him looking very hard to see if she was still alive, hoping to see she is, so she could enjoy what she truly deserved.
