The balance of power in the Electoral College

…in the Electoral College system has changed because of the shift in population and the shift in Electoral College votes and it is now possible for Democrats to win traditional Republican areas and the other way round. Also a balance of power has changed as Electoral College votes have been lost by the mid-west and have been gained by the sunshine states allowing them to have more control and power over who is elected President.
