As I researched Barbara Jordan, The word first came to use a lot when mentioning her accomplishments. She was so esteemed that it almost seemed like an extension of which ever title she was innovating at that time. The first black women to serve in the Texas Senate. …greaten the impact which she had as the first African American women in Texas to get a seat in congress. She showed the critics that a women, a black women at that could do it and do it well. For those who aspire, she showed that hard work goes a long way despite adversity. With her caring for equality and belief in the system she change how members of the public view politics all together.
